How you can help

 Volunteer with us! New volunteer orientations are held twice a month on the first and third Mondays from 9:00am -10:00am at our Rider Way location. Check out the opportunities below and fill out the interest form.  After filling out the interest  form, please join us for the next scheduled orientation. Minors under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at orientation who will sign a volunteer waiver on behalf of the minor. Thank you for helping us spread hope!

    VOLUNTEER EVENTS

  • High School Students Ages 14 - 17

    Our teen volunteers are making an impact in the lives of others. Teen shifts are available four days every week!

    If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, you must attend a one-hour orientation before you choose a volunteer shift. Minors under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at orientation who will sign a volunteer waiver on behalf of the minor. These are scheduled twice a month on the first and third Monday at 9am. After filling out this inquiry form, please join us for the next scheduled orientation. We love the energy and enthusiasm of our teens!

  • Become a Client Advocate to Connect People with Resources: Our Client Advocates connect community members to the housing, financial, and local resources they need. These volunteers help individuals and families get back on their feet. Volunteer as a Client Advocate through the form below.

  • Volunteer in our Front Office: We’re in need of volunteers to run our front office, often the first touch point with community members who need resources and answers. This entails answering phones and organizing community member information for our other teams. Volunteers should be comfortable with computers and answering the phone.   • Serve at Our Warehouse on the Distribution Team: Our Distribution Team is key to our organization. Volunteers put together the food boxes that our community members receive. Sign up to distribute food to those in need.

  • Deliver Food to Our Community: We provide food and essential home resources to families and individuals throughout Riverside County. Our distribution team delivers these goods directly to homes in the community. Join the CMOH distribution team to regularly deliver goods throughout the week.

  • Hosting a food drive makes a HUGE impact in our community. Collect food and essential home items through your business, social club, or community group to support those in need.

  • Earn volunteer hours and gain valuable experience with our non-profit organization! Internships will be considered for those who can commit at least 5 hours per week working in the office towards gaining experience in the fields of: social work, nutrition, marketing/media/photography, non-profit administration, event planning/fundraising.

  • If you have a heart for children and enjoy time with little ones, we would love to have you on the Empowerment Village Tiny Tots Team! Each Wednesday evening between 6 and 7:30 pm the kids at EV play and learn while their moms attend weekly classes. If you are able to commit to two or more Wednesdays a month, we could really use your help in keeping kids happy and safe during this time. This is also a great service opportunity for high school students looking for community service hours!

  • A critical component of establishing community for families during our regular classes and workshops is sharing dinner and connection around a common table. We are looking for groups and individuals to provide nutritious dinners, either monthly or just occasionally, for moms and kids for this shared meal. Meals can be homemade or from a restaurant – we are truly grateful for the contribution! Fill out the form and we’ll contact you to find the evening that works best for you.

  • If you have a special skill or talent you would like to share, we would love to work with you. Community members teach workshops, businesses provide in-kind donations and other like-minded organizations become partners. We are looking for experience in the fields of carpentry, electricians, plumbing, landscaping, photography, drivers, etc. We would love to serve with YOU!
